Our Counsellors
Meet the Counsellors at Steady Mind Counselling
Finding the right counsellor can make an important difference in your counselling experience. At Steady Mind Counselling, we believe that effective counselling starts with a strong sense of trust, comfort, and connection between you and your counsellor.
Our counsellors bring their own experiences, areas of focus, and therapeutic approaches while sharing a commitment to providing thoughtful, respectful, and collaborative counselling.
Matthew Dewey, RCT-C
Registered Counselling Therapist - Candidate
Matthew works with adults and couples experiencing stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, burnout, and the pressures that can come with trying to keep everything together.
His approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded. Rather than telling clients what they should do, Matthew works with clients to better understand what is happening, identify patterns, clarify what matters most, and develop practical ways of moving forward.
Matthew provides individual and couples counselling both virtually and in person in Dartmouth.

A Counsellor Who Fits You
Counselling is personal, and the right fit matters.
Different counsellors may bring different experiences, perspectives, and approaches. If you're not sure which counsellor may be the best fit for what you're looking for, you're welcome to contact us or book a consultation to discuss your needs.
As Steady Mind Counselling grows, additional counsellors will bring their own areas of experience and therapeutic approaches to the practice.
